Let me introduce you to our first mini mix by a man that really doesn’t need any introduction – the one and only Mr. Bert Tozer. Bert has only been with us a month or so but has already contributed much – especially with his music from Zimbabwe and Spain. And I for one cannot wait to hear this mix and enjoy what will surely be a musical delight for all.
So…without further ado – Bert
On this mini mix i have put some classic rock bands and songs that have been in my collection for a while I hope you really enjoy, it is a great one for a day by the pool.
01. Devo – Be Stiff
I can’t remember exactly what album this comes from as I got it in a compilation but if you would like more info you can find it here.
02. Grand Funk Railroad – We’re An American Band
This is an all time clasic rock song from the album of the same name.
03. Cock Sparrer – Runnin’ Riot
Ok I know this is a bit punky but the band has a great sound. Taken from the Runnin Riot album.
04. Joe Walsh – Rocky Mountain Way
A brilliant artist with a great band and a wonderful voice, from the album Rocky Mountain Way.
05. Doobie Brothers – China Groove
A great all american folk rock band, from the album Pickin’ on.
06. Ted Nugent – Stranglehold
An exellent guitarist, I love this track. You can find the album here.
07. Bad Company – Rock n Roll Fantasy
Another all american clasic, from the album Bad Co.
08. Edger Winter Group – Free Ride
What can I say about this group? They’re just great, from the album Take A Free Ride.
09. Mountain – Mississippi Queen
I love the lyrics to this song and the guitar is just great, from the album Climbing.
10. Foghat – Fool For The City
Again i really like the lyrics from this song and the music is great. Taken from the album Fool For The City.
11. James Gang – Walk away
A great rock group and great guitar, from the album Thirds.
12. Joe Walsh – Life’s Been Good
Another song from this great artist, from the album But Seriously Folks.
The Reasons to Rock mix [a 70 mb zip file] will be available for a month – expiring at midnight on 26 September 2010. I would like to hear your comments below my friends.

Ahh Bert. I’m all over this one. Can’t wait to download it. I’ve been listening to loads of UK & American rock from the sixties and seventies recently, so have a feeling I might rather enjoy this…
Great mix Bert – thank you
Looks great to me Bert. I havn’t played it yet but this is right up one of my alley’s.
‘Lifes Been Good’ to me so far .
H Bert
Its all good but highlights for me have to include Ted Nugent, Grand Funk and of course China Grove – excellent choice of music
Loving Joe Walsh, Edgar Winter Group and of course Bad Company – listened to the mix last night…. very good stuff Bert!
Phew!
I’m worn out playing air guitar Bert.Where’s that pool? Great mix.
glad you all like it , finaly back on line . am listening to your mix now Cheezy sounds great some realy good tracks on it
Stand outs on this mix? Great to see Grand Funk Railroad and Foghat on the site. Rocky Mountain Way has to be the best thing Joe Walsh ever done (well maybe Meadows as well but that’s nitpicking). Mountain – highly under-rated, amazing live.
Can’t say I’m too impressed with Cock Sparrer or Devo, but nothing wrong at all with the rest of them. Now where did I put that bottle on moonshine?
