Both great bands, the difference being that the Feelgoods are still cutting live to this day whereas the Clash dried up long before the demise of Mr Strummer.
The Clash probably had the stronger songs, very cutting and when they mixed their politics with that reggae feel at times they were just awesome. Somehow I never really considered them a punk band, much too clever for that with a huge diversity in their sound.
Dr Feelgood? Awesome pub rock. Fantastic band to see in concert, guaranteed to shake the dandruff off and leave you hot and sweaty. Also the first proper gig Junior SP went to. I took him to a festival when he was 5 months old but obviously he can’t remember that one. Dr Feelgood played an afternoon slot in our local when he was 4 and that one he can remember. For that reason, always been a favourite of his. Oh by the way, he also seen Strummer at the V festival when he was 7.
You gotta be dead, or in a coma, if this doesna get your head bobbing and your feet tapping
